The Pierce Township Nature Trail just outside of Amelia, OH is a .70 mile loop that you are sure to enjoy if you are a nature lover. This little hike through the woods has just enough elevation change to make your heart pump a little bit extra as there is about 88ft of elevation change. It is a curvy trail through the woods along the edge of a creek bed. If you come early you might want to make sure you grab a long enough stick to swat away the spider webs. Of course, as always makes sure you wear bug spray as you are in the woods. This trail could be muddy so make sure you are wearing proper shoes as it is a dirt trail.
If you plan to use the Alltrails app just know that it may not be able to track you through the entire trail. I have AT&T and it was unable to keep track of me during half of the trail. Overall I really enjoyed the Pierce Township Nature Trail as it was the perfect length for a quick mid morning hike through nature.
Happy Hiking!
