Fatman’s Loop Trail – Flagstaff, Arizona

Fatman’s Loop Trail is about 2.4 miles of wonderful hiking. I hiked counter clockwise which made the ascent not so steep, but in turn makes the descent a bit more dangerous because the dangers of slipping or tripping. At the highest points of the trail you have wonderful views of the area where you can see for many, many miles. You also will have a sign that says watch out for mountain lions, so be aware.

You can even see when the forest changes to desert. On the way up I was able to see beautiful large trees as well as a rock that I like to call Alien Head Rock. If it has a real name I’m not sure but it sure looks like an Alien Head anyway. This trail is the type of trail, when you think of hiking you think of trails like this one. For me I enjoyed the heck out of this trail, Fatman’s Loop is a 5 star trail for sure.
