The Rosebrock Live Oak Trail according to the Alltrails App is 1.7 miles long. I used the App on my hike and it only registered .74 miles so I think the app is combining the trail with other trails in the park. None the less, the trail was quite enjoyable. It only took about 20-25 minutes to complete.
The trail does have many roots, which is no big deal to me. However, if you have weak ankles you make want to at least make sure to have on hiking boots. For me tennis shoes were just fine. The trails is all wooded, which made for a perfect trail during the fall. I always enjoy the sound of the leaves crunching beneath me as I walk. The trail runs parallel to a small creek as well. There are a few places along to the creek to stop and soak in the creek view. I stopped at a few of them on the trail and took it in. I grew up on a property with a similar creek so I certainly enjoyed the creek view.
My favorite part of the trail was when I came a cross a small walk bridge that goes over a small stream. To me walk bridges always provide a little bit of charm to a trail. The bridge is in the featured image for your viewing. Toward the end of the trail there is a small loop that is a short distance so this is not a complete full on out and back trail.
