Today, June 14th 2024 I hiked the Bubble Pond Trail in Acadia National Park. The trail is located on the left a mile and a half after Cadillac Summit. The parking area is very small, but we came early enough to get lucky. The trail is a very smooth 1.3 mile trail out and back along the side of the pond. The pond can not be seen from the parking lot, but it is a very short walk down to the shore. Most of the trail is on Carriage Road which is a popular bicycled trail. There were several large groups that passed by me during my hike. Which is fine though, because there is plenty of room.
The beauty of this pond and its surroundings are breathtaking. I could sit on a rock looking over this pond/lake for quite a long time. I tried to soak it in as much as I could, but we only have two days in the park so I needed to hike, take a few pics and leave.
Here is a pic of Cassie and Traxton with Bubble Pond:
The pictures don’t do it justice. This is truly one remarkably beautiful spot to hike at. To view the trail on the Alltrails app click here: https://www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/maine/bubble-pond–2?mobileMap=false&ref=sidebar-static-map
