Dungannon Plantation Yellow Trail. Location: Hollywood, South Carolina.

Dungannon Plantation Heritage Preserve and Wildlife Area is owned and operated by SCDNR. Located about 20 minutes south of downtown Charleston, South Carolina the Dungannon Plantation Yellow Trail is a short one mile loop through the woods that takes you to beautiful swamp lands. You will find that the trail is super easy to walk. The paths are wide and the trail is marked well with little yellow circles.

You’ll walk across pine straw throughout the trail and will come across several small wetlands. You will get your share of wildlife views with an abundance of birds and squirrels. If you’re lucky perhaps you will even see a deer! If you are out just for a walk this trail should only take you about 20 minutes to complete. Although, the parking area is relatively small, there is usually plenty of spaces available. If you happen to be in the area and just need a quick getaway to the woods then we highly recommend this trail. Dungannon is designated as an “Important Bird Area in South Carolina”.
