On June 15th 2024 we got to walk the Jordan Pond Nature Trail. We actually tried going to this trail the day before, but we were unable to find a parking space. Although, this was a Saturday morning; it wasn’t that crowded due to the weather. It was a bit chilly with some sprinkles so we weren’t able to enjoy the trail as much as we would have liked.
Jordan Pond is one of the busiest area’s of Acadia National Park. It has a visitor center and several other trails available to walk/hike. Including the Jordan Pond Path that goes around the entire pond. We weren’t able to squeeze that one in on this trip, but whenever we go back to Acadia the loop around Jordan Pond will be the main trail on the list that we weren’t able to do this time.
The Jordan Pond Nature trail is only about .8 miles long. It is a very easy trail to walk with hardly any elevation gain at all. Yet, the trail took us right down to he shore of the pond and followed alongside the pond for some time. The views along side the pond were stunningly gorgeous. Hopefully, when we go back it will be sunny so we can see the views of Jordan Pond in all its glory.
