We had the pleasure of finding Park Road Pond Loop back in October of 2022. We were in Charlotte for the weekend and wanted to find a nice place for a morning walk. The Alltrails App had several options, but I decided on Park Road Pond Loop. It looked to be the right trail for us based on what we were looking for. When on weekend trips in a populated area, we like to find parks with short paved trails around a lake or a pond. This trail fit that bill to a T.
The trail is listed on the Alltrails App as .7 miles long. My recording resulted in .8 with 14.14 minutes of walking time. So its not a very long trail, but enough to get your blood flowing in the morning. The park is located in a very nice area of south Charlotte off of Park Rd. Upon driving into the park we knew we were in a nice area and found the park to be gorgeous. We enjoyed walking on the smooth pavement, which is Cassie’s preferred trail due to her knee and ankle. With it being October we got to enjoy nice fall foliage around the park as there is an abundance of beautiful trees in the area. It was the perfect fall morning walk for us.

The next time we are in the south Charlotte area, we will likely stop at this park again. For directions from Charlotte Douglas Airport, click here.
